The Pinakotheque Gallery in Kharkiv hosted a painting workshop conducted by Italian painter Jean-Philippe.

The artist communicated with his admirers, but at the time of the workshop, the students were offline. Two women translated for him on the spot. However, this did not become an obstacle to normal work, nor did the online format of the event itself.

There were plenty of people willing to work with Jean-Philippe - instead of 35 registered participants, there were 42. And that was only in Kharkiv, as children from several towns in the Kharkiv region and Chernihiv also joined the workshop.
At the beginning of the event, Jean-Philippe suggested a theme for each of the participants to create paintings. It was a phrase from the novel, a description of the area where the main action takes place - a place between two long mountain ranges.
The workshop participants had a little over an hour to recreate the described place. Everyone drew the place as they imagined it. During the workshop, Jean-Philippe explained various aspects of painting. For example, how to mix paints to get the desired color.
In the pinakotheque, the novice artists were assisted by members of the ArtBat art group and the gallery curator Kateryna Kvasha.
Some of the paintings created during the workshop look like they were painted by experienced professionals. Others are clearly created by novice artists.
All the participants were very pleased and thanked everyone who took part in organizing and conducting the event - the Atlant company, the Pinakothek Gallery, Kateryna Kvasha and the members of the ArtBat art group.
